Dear Mrs Gott, I am
pleased to tell you that the dahlias I ordered from you arrived safely
yesterday.
They were beautifully
packed and in perfect condition.
Thank you very much.
Sincerely, Sally Twyman.
Mrs Gott
Just to confirm receipt of my order which was received in
excellent condition due to the professional packing. My friend is absolutely
delighted by "my choice" of dahlias.
Many thanks for your patience and very kind help which has helped me to
repay an old friend for his kindness.
Best regards
Tony Walker
Thank You
Two tubers of Mary's Jomanda received safely. They
look great and have gone down on to the heated cables straight away. Lets hope
they flourish. Thank you very much.

Hi Jack,
I want to let you know how I did with Amber Festival this year. This was my
first year raising it, and it had not been shown before this season in the US.
Initially, I was bothered with small green centres, as the weather was quite hot
this summer. When the weather cooled, the blooms really improved and the green
centres were totally absent. When we show a bloom that is not listed in our
Classification Manual, then we have to put it on the Classification Table where
Senior judges classify it for us. In the four shows that it was exhibited, all
of the judging was identical: Class 310 BB (4-6 inches) FD Light blend of yellow
and bronze.
This was rather unfortunate, as Class 310 is one of the most vicious classes
that we have. There are two varieties that tend to dominate: Hy Clown and
Hamilton Lillian. However, I am happy to report to you that I got a first in
each of three shows!!!! The last was at the Midwest Dahlia Conference's Annual
Show (second most prominent in the Midwest--National being first) in St. Louis,
Missouri. There were about 30 blooms in the class, and my Amber Festival took
first place.
I am going to email the classification committee chairman to make sure they have
the correct information: BB FD LB of yellow and bronze. Initally offered in 1999
by the originator, Jack Gott from England, who grew it from a sport of Gateshead
Festival. First shown in the US in 2001.
Jack, I hope the above information is correct, but if it is not, please let me
know.
Thanks,
Rick

Dahlias received safely and now potted up. Thank you for sending the
'surprise' freestyle. I wait with anticipation to see what it is. Also
thank you for indicating by sending three labels that I could make three
plants out of Fascination. I imagine they will be pretty small this year
but .....from small things...... Thank you too, for the Dahlia guide.
Most interesting and helpful.
Happy Easter

all appear to be in good condition and I'll take every precaution to ensure they
